Super-Specialty HVAC Upgrade
Medxon engineered and installed an advanced Cleanroom and sterile HVAC setup for the major operating theater suite at Fortis Hospital Kalyan.
The Engineering Challenge
The facility required modernization of its ventilation systems to support high-efficiency cleanroom standards. The new infrastructure had to maintain stable relative humidity and high air exchange rates to prevent surgical site infections.
Medxon's Executed Solution
- Advanced HVAC System: Designed and installed modular air handling units equipped with variable speed drives and multi-stage filtration (10-micron, 3-micron, and 0.3-micron HEPA).
- Galvanized Steel Ducting: Built and installed pre-insulated factory-fabricated ducts to prevent condensation and air leakage.
- Differential Pressure Controllers: Installed digital monitors to maintain positive pressure cascading from the clean operating theaters to adjacent sterile corridors.
Project Outcomes
The project met all NABH cleanliness requirements, providing the surgical wing with superior air filtration and climate stability.
